In person recruiting back in place - for the first time since Karl Dorrell was hired to coach CU. Rate your level of excitement/interest:
- High. Success on the field begins with success in recruiting. How will Dorrell and staff do now that in-person recruiting has returned? Fingers crossed that Dorrell can raise CU's profile (44%, 99 Votes)
- Medium. When CU's coaches say "the buzz around the office has been palpable", my ears perk up. Interested to hear about new commitments (38%, 85 Votes)
- Low. Signing Day is still a long ways away, and the Transfer Portal is now just as important as Signing Day. Not super excited about what 17-year olds are saying in June (18%, 42 Votes)

As we take a "Stroll Down Memory Lane" this summer, which is the season you remember most fondly?
- 20th anniversary of 2001 - Another season which opened on a down note (loss to Fresno State), but ended in a rout of Nebraska (62-36, anyone?), and CU's one and only Big 12 title (52%, 117 Votes)
- 30th anniversary of 1991 - A run to a three-peat Big Eight championship, including the epic "Ice Bowl" game in Folsom against Nebraska (18%, 41 Votes)
- 35th anniversary of 1986 - A season which started 0-4, but gave us the 20-10 upset over Nebraska which set the stage for a national title run (14%, 32 Votes)
- 5th anniversary of 2016 - After a decade of roaming in the desert of college football, the Buffs make an impressive and unexpected run to the Pac-12 South title (10%, 22 Votes)
- 25th anniversary of 1996 - The Buffs open the first ever season of the Big 12 as the No. 5 team in the nation, and make an impressive run to a 10-win season and a top ten finish (6%, 13 Votes)

Pac-12 schedules four games in 12 hours (all three hours apart) to be aired on the Pac-12 Networks on September 4th. Thoughts?
- I'm just glad that CU is playing on Friday night, and will not be part of the Pac-12's quadruple-header nightmare ... and have CU fans at home miss the first quarter of the game against UNC (69%, 103 Votes)
- Leave it to the Pac-12 to schedule a quadruple-header on a Network no one can get, and on a schedule impossible to keep. Good luck getting fans to see every snap of every game, Pac-12! (22%, 33 Votes)
- I'm guessing that all of the other network partners were spoken for on the first weekend of non-conference play. That happens when you schedule three lower division Mountain West teams as opponents (9%, 13 Votes)

CU ranked 8th in the Pac-12 in Transfer Portal grades for the 2020-21 offseason. Thoughts?
- Way too early to post any grades. If you are going on high school rankings, CU picked up several four star players. Whether they work out - or if players CU lost work out - is to be determined (63%, 134 Votes)
- Bogus. CU acquired a quality QB (Shrout); OL (Wray); and two linebackers (Barnes and Lamb) ... and didn't give up that much except for scholarships which weren't being utilized. (30%, 63 Votes)
- Probably about right. CU did lose K.D. Nixon, Tyler Lytle, Derrion Rakestraw, as well as several other contributors. Probably a net wash for the program (7%, 16 Votes)

Which of my following "Likely Loss" games do you see the Buffs having the best chance at an upset?
- Oct. 2nd - USC - The only one of the four at home. The Buffs had a 10-point fourth quarter lead the last time USC was in Boulder. This time, the Buffs will end the streak (0-14 all-time v. USC) (59%, 120 Votes)
- Nov. 26th - at Utah - I know the Buffs are 2-8 v. Utah since joining the Pac-12, but the Utes will not be as good this year, and if the Buffs need a win in the finale to go bowling - they'll get it (22%, 45 Votes)
- Sept. 11th - v. Texas A&M - It will be a great atmosphere at Mile High, and the Buffs (with only Northern Colorado before the A&M game) can focus their attention on beating the Aggies (16%, 33 Votes)
- Oct. 30th - at Oregon - The 2016 team won in Eugene, and the Ducks have their showdown against Washington the following week. The Buffs catch the Ducks looking ahead to their game in Seattle (3%, 6 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
