Former CU quarterback Sam Noyer announces that he is transferring to Oregon State. Thoughts?
- Well, Noyer is from Beaverton, so he's heading home for his final season. Maybe he just wants to be closer to home ... or to try out for safety in Corvallis (45%, 74 Votes)
- I wish him well, but I don't want his return trip to Boulder on November 6th to be his Homecoming. CU has enough to worry about without having to face its former quarterback (35%, 57 Votes)
- Curious. Oregon State seems to be in a similar situation at quarterback, with last season's starter Tristan Gebbia sitting out the spring with an injury (hamstring). Is the job really open? (20%, 32 Votes)

The College Football Playoff working group formally recommends a 12-team playoff. Thoughts?
- We'll see how it plays out. Will it dilute the SEC title chase? Probably. Will it give hope to G-5 schools? Yes. At least CU now has a straight path to national relevance (46%, 103 Votes)
- I like it. It all but guarantees the Pac-12 nothing less than a home playoff game for its champion. This will help keep the Pac-12 as a player in the national conversation (36%, 79 Votes)
- Not a big fan. I would have preferred six- or eight-teams. This will seriously dilute the value of an Oregon/Ohio State September matchup. This is all about getting the SEC and Big Ten more teams in (18%, 40 Votes)

A month after TCU safety Atanza Vonger committed to transfer to Colorado, he has reentered the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- What's the old saying? "You can't miss what you never had". Vonger never enrolled, and is sounds like there may have been some off field issues in getting him here. Move on without looking back (74%, 190 Votes)
- A tough loss. Vonger was a former four-star prospect. He also had three years of eligibility remaining, and was a transfer in a position of need. Sorry to see him off the board (14%, 36 Votes)
- I'm just interested to see how CU uses the new available scholarship. Hopefully, there is another quality defensive back out there looking for a home. Fingers crossed (12%, 32 Votes)

CU adds two new members to the Class of '22 - tight end Zach Courtney and defensive back Ronald Lewis. Thoughts?
- A nice day to be a Buff. CU's Class is now ranked 28th in the nation (4th in the Pac-12). Not sure that can be sustained, but its nice to see CU near the Top 25 six months from Signing Day (59%, 107 Votes)
- Okay, I guess. Both are undersized (Courtney is 235 pounds; Lewis 175), and Courtney was not even rated by 247 Sports, even though he plays in Texas. Trust the coaches - again. (25%, 46 Votes)
- Nice pickups! It sounds like Lewis can play every position in the defensive backfield, and Courtney's size (6'7") might allow this two-way star to play multiple positions as well (16%, 29 Votes)

Senior quarterback Sam Noyer announces that he has entered the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- All I know is that Noyer is the first Buff QB to leave school with a winning record since Joel Klatt. He was a team player, a true Buff, and I wish him well in his future endeavors (55%, 194 Votes)
- Not really surprised. CU has two quality QB's who had the entire spring to learn the system, and Noyer could probably heard from the coaches that, if he wants to play, it will be elsewhere (32%, 113 Votes)
- Shocked, especially at the timing. Noyer was reported to be doing well on his recovery from shoulder surgery, and was ready to compete to keep his job in the fall. Odd move in early June (13%, 44 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
