Five teams from the Pac-12 are ranked in the Associated Press preseason poll. Thoughts?
- Doesn't matter to me until or unless the Buffs are ranked. CU went from nowhere to ranked last year. Perhaps after the upset win over Texas A&M ...? After that, I'll pay attention to the polls! (53%, 115 Votes)
- Pretty good for the conference. Five teams from the Pac-12, same as the SEC and the Big Ten. Looks to me to be a pretty good showing for a conference receiving little national respect (26%, 56 Votes)
- No Pac-12 teams in the top ten? No Pac-12 teams considered to be better than Iowa State, Cincinnati, or North Carolina? Five teams ... but still little national respect (21%, 46 Votes)

Tad Boyle's Buffs have been rolling through their exhibition schedule in Costa Rica. Thoughts?
- With such a young roster, it's great to get the team some playing time together, and a trip to Costa Rica will help the team bond. It's a win/win for the program (73%, 167 Votes)
- Not sure that it's worth the trip. The first two wins were by scores of 79-32 and 104-46. The Buffs would probably get a better test if they stayed home and scrimmaged the CU women's team (17%, 38 Votes)
- Wait, the Buffs are playing? I usually won't pay attention to the basketball team until after football season. Certainly not happening before football season ... (10%, 23 Votes)

CU quarterback J.T. Shrout injured during CU's first scrimmage, hurting his knee in a non-contact injury. Thoughts?
- I figured that Brendon Lewis would likely be the starter, being a dual-threat QB, but now I may have to hope that he can stay healthy for an entire season ... a scary scenario for a running QB (52%, 146 Votes)
- Let's see what happens. Dorrell said: "We're hopeful that it's not too serious ... We're hoping for the best". Fingers crossed until we hear the worst (40%, 111 Votes)
- Another great day for the Buff Nation. Lytle and Noyer transfer out (not to mention two walk-on quarterbacks), leaving us with two scholarship QB's. Chances at a winning season took a huge hit today (8%, 22 Votes)

CBS Sports lists CU among its top five "chaos" teams for 2021 - teams which could throw a wrench into plans of title contenders. Thoughts?
- Okay, I'm officially over the preseason talk. Three weeks and counting to kickoff against UNC. I can't wait for the 2021 season to begin, so we can see how these Buffs actually stack up (56%, 116 Votes)
- I like it. While we're well aware of CU's limitations in the national championship race, it's nice to see someone seeing Buffs being capable of big time upsets (41%, 85 Votes)
- Not impressed. Isn't this the same CBS writer who listed CU as the No. 103 team in the nation last year, before the Buffs earned a national ranking? (3%, 5 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from three-star wide receiver from Texas, Jordyn Tyson. Thoughts?
- 'β(OC and receivers) coach (Darrin) Chiaverini said he likes everything about my game, especially my ball skills and my route running" - Coach Chiv has earned the benefit of several doubts (43%, 113 Votes)
- Can we stop pretending that we are impressed with this Class? No other Power Five offers? Not even rated by Rivals? I'd rather the coaches hold scholarships for transfers next spring than take flyers (33%, 86 Votes)
- A lanky wide receiver from Texas, with a significant upside. This will be another recruit that fans don't like ... right up until his commitment blows up, and we get worried about losing him (24%, 63 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? π
