Which of Tad Boyle's quotes from CU's Media Day Press Conference do you like the best?
- "If we got guys looking for the transfer portal we have not recruited the right guys, and it's something we talk about in recruiting. It's something that we face head on" (44%, 94 Votes)
- "I have to remind myself that I'm going to have to have a little bit more patience with this year's team and I have to find a balance between patience and not lowering standards" (29%, 62 Votes)
- On fans selling Kansas tickets: "Make sure that they get in Buffalo’s hands ... We're asking and begging and and pleading not to put them on Stubhub and sell them to Jayhawk fans" (27%, 56 Votes)

Has freshman quarterback Brendon Lewis turned the corner?
- Jury is still out. Lewis seemed more comfortable this past weekend, but Lewis has to put together a string of successful games before I'll be convinced he's the answer for the Buffs going forward (76%, 269 Votes)
- Not convinced. Yes, Arizona did have a fifth-ranked passing defense, but that ranking was due to UA's porous rush defense. I'm still not betting Lewis will be CU's quarterback in 2022 (18%, 62 Votes)
- Yes. The bye week gave Lewis and the team a chance to evaluate and adjust. The second play of the game was a long pass, and Lewis had a 248-yard, two-touchdown game. Let Brendon be Brendon! (6%, 22 Votes)

Colorado opens as a 10.0-point underdog to Cal on the road (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). Thoughts?
- Arizona is generationally bad, so it's hard to judge whether or not the Buffs are actually better. Las Vegas doesn't think so, and the odds are what they are for a reason. (49%, 160 Votes)
- I'm not ready to make a call on this game yet - I'll have to read up more on the Bears - but it does seem like the line is higher than it should be for two struggling teams (33%, 108 Votes)
- The Buffs were a 17.0-point underdog to No. 5 Texas A&M, but a 10.0.-point underdog to a 1-5 Cal team? Give me the points! Go Buffs! (18%, 59 Votes)

Colorado shuts out Arizona, 34-0, to claim first Pac-12 win of the season. Thoughts?
- I don't care if it was the Little Sisters of the Poor. This program needed this type of win. I'll worry about Cal seven days from now. Tonight, I'm toasting my Buffs! (66%, 266 Votes)
- Okay, let's pump the brakes for a second. This is an Arizona team which has lost 18 straight games, and lost earlier this season to Northern Arizona. Beat a real team, Buffs, and we'll talk (25%, 102 Votes)
- Well, that's more like it! With defensive and special teams play like that, the Buffs will be in most of the games in the second half of the season. I'll take it! (9%, 36 Votes)

This is it! Your prediction for Colorado v. Arizona (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks):
- Arizona, despite its 17-game losing streak, has been competitive of late (CU has not). Wildcat players have circled this game as one which can end the losing streak ... and I'm afraid they are right. (41%, 105 Votes)
- I think the coaches and players have been working on this game plan for two weeks, and will be able to handle the Wildcats. Buffs win with a strong rushing attack and good defense! (32%, 81 Votes)
- It's a touchdown line, but I'm not sure the Buffs will cover. This will be a low-scoring game (with two poor offenses). I can see the Buffs winning a low-scoring nail-biter. Fingers crossed! (27%, 69 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
