  • Keep road trip ($$) to Michigan, but put off Purdue until a later year (29%, 60 Votes)
  • Take on both Michigan and Purdue - push San Jose State to a future year (27%, 56 Votes)

CSU AD wants to harness "mean-spirited" rivalry with CU.
  • Here's an idea: End the Rocky Mountain Showdown! Playing games at neutral sites is asking for angry fan reactions. (46%, 98 Votes)
  • Sorry. No can do. "It sucks - to be - a CSU Ram!" has such a nice ring to it! (33%, 72 Votes)
  • It's a good idea. Trash talk and taunting is hurting attendance and image (21%, 45 Votes)

My prediction for the Buffs' mid-season record ...

The Pac-12/Big Ten partnership ends five years before it was set to begin
  • Fine with me. It made non-conference scheduling impossible; created a disadvantage for the league nationally (44%, 87 Votes)
  • I would have preferred to keep the Big Ten contract and reduce the Pac-12 schedule to eight games. (39%, 77 Votes)
  • I hate it. I was looking forward to having Big Ten teams visit Boulder. (17%, 33 Votes)

NCAA penalties for Penn State
  • The death penalty. If there was ever a case of a lack of "Institutional control", this is it. (49%, 105 Votes)
  • There should be some ramifications for the football program (bowl eligibility? scholarships?). After all, it was Joe Paterno who fostered the silence. (31%, 66 Votes)
  • None from the NCAA. While certainly a major problem, this is not a football-related issue. (20%, 45 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
