Jon Embree gives the Buffs a B+ for first half of spring practices
- I'm encouraged by Embree's quotes about "a sense of urgency" (47%, 78 Votes)
- There have been no major injuries so far, that's all that really matters in the spring (32%, 53 Votes)
- It's still an "Incomplete" grade. With practices closed, we really have no idea what's going on (21%, 36 Votes)

Athlon rates Jon Embree the worst head coach in the Pac-12 Conference
- A little harsh. Embree has to produce, but I would put him in the middle of the pack (38%, 78 Votes)
- No previous head coaching experience, a 3-10 record. Hard to argue with the ranking. (38%, 78 Votes)
- The nation doesn't know what we know. Embree is one of the best (24%, 51 Votes)

Biggest news of the first week of practices ...
- Embree pleased with progress of the team and a "sense of urgency" from the players (38%, 76 Votes)
- Wide receiver Paul Richardson focused, faster than ever (27%, 53 Votes)
- No major injuries sustained (20%, 40 Votes)
- Former Kansas quarterback Jordan Webb may be joining the Buffs (15%, 30 Votes)

The University of Colorado ... a basketball school?
- As long as CU can keep Tad Boyle, it could happen. Consistent 20-win seasons will eventually trump inconsistent results on the gridiron (78%, 217 Votes)
- It's been a nice run for the BB team the past two years, but let's be realistic about historic trends. Long term, CU is - and always will be - a football school. (22%, 60 Votes)
Start Date: March 18, 2012 @ 9:58 am
End Date: No Expiry
CU talking with former KU QB Jordan Webb
- It would be a great get. Other than injury-prone Nick Hirschman, the Buffs have no game experience at quarterback (46%, 117 Votes)
- No. No. No. Team chemistry could be adversely affected - Kansas 5-19 past two seasons. Yuck. (35%, 88 Votes)
- Webb can't play until August. A four-way battle for QB a month before the season? Scary (19%, 50 Votes)
Start Date: March 15, 2012 @ 9:55 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
