My greatest current concern about the CU defense
  • Whether the defensive line will have enough experienced defensive linemen to be competitive (71%, 180 Votes)
  • Whether linebacker Douglas Rippy can return to All-Conference form (18%, 46 Votes)
  • Whether the secondary will be forced to start a true freshman at cornerback again in 2012 (11%, 28 Votes)

Former Kansas quarterback Jordan Webb to join the Buffs
  • I'm okay with it. CU coaches not afraid of bringing in competition if it means team improvement (62%, 185 Votes)
  • No. No. No. A Kansas reject? Really? If Webb has a chance of starting, CU is in real trouble (25%, 75 Votes)
  • Great news! Buffs need a quarterback with game experience (13%, 40 Votes)

My take on Phillip Lindsay as CU's first commit
  • What's not to like? Over 4,000 yards in three years; All-State as a junior. Welcome, Phillip! (55%, 77 Votes)
  • The credentials look okay, but CU already has small running backs. The Buffs need a Chris Brown clone (31%, 43 Votes)
  • With so few scholarships to work with, are running backs a priority? Can CU sign a linebacker sometime soon? (14%, 19 Votes)

  • Running backs - Tony Jones prepared to step in for Rodney Stewart (12%, 28 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
