Thoughts on CU's 70-66 loss to No. 18 SMU ...
- Buffs only non-conference losses close games against ranked teams. I'll still bullish on the Buffs (67%, 135 Votes)
- Buffs' weaknesses exposed. There will be some tough times ahead in conference play (25%, 50 Votes)
- To be honest, I'm really not that interested in non-conference results. Check back with me after a dozen or so Pac-12 games (8%, 16 Votes)

Thoughts on CU's 71-70 win over Penn State ...
- "You've got to find a way to win" ... These Buffs are figuring out ways to make it happen! (47%, 86 Votes)
- Good news/bad news ... Nice to get the win, but similar play tonight will result in a loss to SMU (34%, 63 Votes)
- It will certainly help in March. Not so much a great win as avoiding a "bad loss" (19%, 35 Votes)

What would be the best present you could find under your Christmas tree?
- A rout of CSU, an upset of Michigan, a winning Pac-12 record, and a bowl win! (66%, 187 Votes)
- A Sweet Sixteen run by the men's basketball team ... or maybe the Elite Eight! (20%, 57 Votes)
- Peace on earth ... the other choices are just too unrealistic! (14%, 38 Votes)

What grade would you give the CU defense for the 2015 season?
- B ... Much better than in year's past, but still plenty of room for improvement (60%, 207 Votes)
- C ... 86th in total defense; 71st in scoring defense ... sounds pretty average to me (29%, 102 Votes)
- A ... Giving up 11.5 points fewer per game is a huge step in the right direction (6%, 22 Votes)
- D ... One Pac-12 win in nine tries. 'Nuff said (5%, 16 Votes)
Start Date: December 21, 2015 @ 12:02 am

CU routs Hampton, 95-53, picking up a tenth-straight victory ...
- Now, that's more like it! Buffs need to dominate teams like Hampton, and did! (49%, 107 Votes)
- A nice win, but an expected win. We'll see how the Buffs do in a few days against Penn State and SMU (37%, 81 Votes)
- Fifth-longest active win streak in the nation? Just win, baby! (14%, 31 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
