My prediction for the headine for Sunday's essay ...
  • "One last 'almost' game, as CU comes up just short once again in loss to Utah" (39%, 80 Votes)
  • "Down and Out - Buffs finish season on a five-game losing streak after lethargic effort against Utes" (32%, 65 Votes)
  • "Break through! Buffs finally play a complete game and upset the Utes, making for a brighter off-season" (29%, 60 Votes)

Start Date: November 27, 2015 @ 4:16 pm

Utah a 16.5-point favorite over Colorado
  • Utah will probably win, but I can certainly see the Buffs staying within the spread - Utah is struggling on offense, too (44%, 124 Votes)
  • I have a feeling about this one ... Buffs finally get their upset! (30%, 84 Votes)
  • Take Utah and the points. Travis Wilson will play well on Senior Day ... and the Buffs can't score (26%, 71 Votes)

Who will be the starting quarterback for CU in 2016?
  • Sefo Liufau - If he comes back healthy, the record-setting senior will be the Buffs' best bet (45%, 135 Votes)
  • Steven Montez - Here's hoping the Buffs have finally found a star at quarterback (38%, 116 Votes)
  • Cade Apsay - He's already shown real potential, and after spring practices, will assume the job (17%, 51 Votes)

Start Date: November 24, 2015 @ 7:42 pm

Thoughts on Year Four for Mike MacIntyre ...
  • Not even an issue. Rick George has already said Mac is coming back (so give it a rest!) (70%, 213 Votes)
  • Don't ask me. I'm just numb this time of year, so it's hard to formulate an opinion one way or the other (15%, 47 Votes)
  • I would not be surprised and/or upset if George pulled the trigger. Two Pac-12 wins in three years is unacceptable (15%, 44 Votes)

Start Date: November 23, 2015 @ 7:56 pm
End Date: No Expiry

The biggest surprise of the weekend ...
  • The CU men's cross-country team, a unanimous No. 1 all season, not bringing home another national title (45%, 121 Votes)
  • The CU football team not being able to score a touchdown against Washington State (40%, 107 Votes)
  • The CU men's basketball team being 13 points down in the second half to Nebraska-Omaha (15%, 41 Votes)

Start Date: November 22, 2015 @ 7:59 pm

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
