What I am taking from CU's loss to No. 24 Washington State ...
  • That it's going to be another long off-season of second-guessing and hope for better days ahead (56%, 145 Votes)
  • That this coaching staff does not have the ability to put together a game plan which will lead to victory (31%, 81 Votes)
  • That the sky is not falling. Sure there were mistakes, but Buffs are clearly improving (13%, 32 Votes)

  • Just another example of how far down CU is in the pecking order, that Boulder would lose out to Champaign (26%, 28 Votes)

What I am taking away from the 91-84 win over Auburn
  • With Scott healthy and King becoming a force, CU could make some noise in the Pac-12 this year (70%, 227 Votes)
  • Not much. Auburn was 15-20 last year, so let's withhold judgment until the Buffs post some wins in January (22%, 72 Votes)
  • To be honest, I won't be paying attention to CU basketball for another month or so (8%, 26 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
