Is the Alamo Bowl an audition for Joe Tumpkin for the defensive coordinator position?
- It shouldn't be ... but it might be. The play of the defense will certainly be scrutinized (40%, 128 Votes)
- No. The hiring should be based upon a body of work, not just one game (30%, 96 Votes)
- Yes. If the Buff defense plays well, he should be the front-runner for the job (30%, 96 Votes)

Pac-12 bowl games are underway. When other conference teams play:
- I always cheer for the Pac-12. When the conference looks good ... the Buffs look good (60%, 170 Votes)
- It depends on the game. There are some teams (e.g., USC, Utah, Oregon) I like less than others (35%, 98 Votes)
- I (almost) always cheer for the other team. Never too early to start worrying about 2017 opponents (5%, 16 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
