Colorado is a four-point underdog on the road against Arizona State. Thoughts?
  • Probably about right. Teams fairly equal; ASU getting credit for home field advantage (57%, 171 Votes)
  • CU has not only never beaten ASU on the road, the games have been maulings. I'm afraid I see a fairly comfortable win for the Sun Devils (26%, 76 Votes)
  • Buffs finally getting their act together. I foresee a CU victory! (17%, 51 Votes)

Chances of 5-4 CU earning a bowl bid:
  • Medium. it's a challenge, but the Buffs (finally) seem focused. I think it will happen (66%, 267 Votes)
  • High. Three games needing to win one, and the Buffs are looking good after playing their best game of the season (17%, 69 Votes)
  • Low. Only home game is against USC, and Buffs struggle on the road (and there's no guarantee a 6-6 team gets a bowl invitation) (17%, 69 Votes)

Colorado 44, California 28 ... Thoughts?
  • Just the kind of game we've been waiting for! Well done, Buffs - keep it going!! (69%, 259 Votes)
  • I'm just glad to get to win No. 5 ... We'll worry about finding No. 6 next week! (27%, 101 Votes)
  • A win, but over a team which was not supposed to be very good. Good chance this is the last win of the year, so enjoy it (4%, 17 Votes)

It's time - Your prediction for Colorado v. California
  • I have a good feeling about this. Homecoming, Ralphie's 50th, Salaam ... Buffs take out frustrations on less talented Bears (42%, 92 Votes)
  • This will come down to a play or two - the fact that Cal is No. 1 in the nation in turnovers makes me nervous (29%, 64 Votes)
  • Cal is on the upswing; CU is on the downswing. Do the math: Another loss for the struggling Buffs (29%, 61 Votes)

Start Date: October 27, 2017 @ 2:05 pm

The best off-field celebration scheduled for this weekend:
  • Rashaan Salaam's No. 19 will be retired (68%, 119 Votes)
  • It's officially "Ralphie 50th Anniversary Day” in Boulder and the state of Colorado (18%, 31 Votes)
  • It's Homecoming ... a great time to get together with fellow Buff faithful, before and after the game (9%, 16 Votes)
  • The 1967 CU Bluebonnet bowl team will be honored (5%, 8 Votes)

Start Date: October 26, 2017 @ 7:50 pm

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
