Colorado a 10.5-point underdog to Utah. Thoughts?
  • Too high. Every game in the last six games in the series has been a one-score game. Utah has lost six of its last seven games (47%, 149 Votes)
  • About right. Two 5-6 teams, but Utah is at home, and is playing better than CU (43%, 137 Votes)
  • Too low. Utah should have beaten Washington on the road, while Buffs have yet to have such a game (10%, 34 Votes)

Utah falls to 5-6 after 33-30 loss to No. 12 Washington. Thoughts?
  • All I know: I hope the Buffs were watching, as Utah (fake punt; onside kick) went to Seattle to win (63%, 105 Votes)
  • Bad news for Buffs. Utes almost defeated Washington on the road ... Buffs were thumped by Huskies at home (32%, 53 Votes)
  • Good news for the Buffs. Utes will be deflated after giving up ten points in final minute to lose (5%, 8 Votes)

The Pac-12 game I'm most interested in:
  • Utah at Washington: How will Utes fare in Seattle? (66%, 114 Votes)
  • UCLA at USC: Can Bruins make a run for the Pac-12 South basement? (21%, 37 Votes)
  • Arizona at Oregon: First team to 50 points wins? (9%, 15 Votes)
  • Arizona State at Oregon State: Will Beavers pick up first Pac-12 win? (2%, 4 Votes)
  • Cal at Stanford: Can the Bears win the Big Game in Palo Alto? (2%, 4 Votes)

CU's 2018 football schedule has been released. Thoughts?
  • I haven't yet formed an opinion. Please get back to me in, say, August (50%, 85 Votes)
  • Love it! A bye week before Pac-12 play; two Friday night games. Bring it on! (26%, 44 Votes)
  • Hate it! USC and Washington on the road back-to-back will be a killer; finale on the road instead of at home? Yuck (24%, 41 Votes)

How will the CU men's basketball team fare this year?
  • I'm looking for at least an NIT bid, with a chance at the NCAA tournament (58%, 131 Votes)
  • Without a big man, it's going to be a down year, I'm afraid. I'm hoping a winning record (24%, 53 Votes)
  • I'm with Tad Boyle in liking the upside of the team. The Buffs are heading to the Dance in March! (18%, 40 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
