Three Pac-12 teams in USA Today/Coaches preseason poll
- About right. Washington; Stanford and USC are the best three teams (39%, 69 Votes)
- Polls don't interest me ... unless Colorado is in the mix for a national ranking (27%, 48 Votes)
- I'm just glad to see Nebraska didn't get any votes ... (21%, 36 Votes)
- Pac-12 not getting much respect. I figured Oregon and/or Utah would be ranked as well (13%, 22 Votes)
Start Date: August 3, 2018 @ 7:29 pm

CU adds three-star DT Na'im Rodman to the commitment list
- Very excited about this commit. He's large, fast, and plays for the No. 1 high school team in the nation (56%, 141 Votes)
- I'm just glad that CU has been able to add a (quality) defensive lineman to the commitment list! (37%, 92 Votes)
- Not super excited. Only a handful of Power-Five offers; a part-time starter as a junior (7%, 17 Votes)
Start Date: August 2, 2018 @ 5:54 pm
End Date: No Expiry
What is your confidence level in Steven Montez?
- Medium. We've seen moments of greatness. I'm hopeful that this season will be a significant step forward (65%, 200 Votes)
- High. He has all the tools, and now has coaches who will help him succeed (29%, 88 Votes)
- Low. A great deal of coach-speak talking him up, but Buffs were 11th in the Pac-12 in scoring last season with Montez (6%, 18 Votes)
Start Date: August 1, 2018 @ 6:26 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Who will lead the Buffs in rushing this fall?
- Senior transfer Travon McMillian - former 1,000-yard rusher (75%, 215 Votes)
- R-Fr. Alex Fontenot - The future is now (16%, 45 Votes)
- Senior Kyle Evans - Leading returning rusher (4%, 11 Votes)
- Junior Beau Bisharat - Highest-rated returning prospect (3%, 10 Votes)
- Senior Donovan Lee - Red-shirted last year to get this opportunity (2%, 6 Votes)
Start Date: July 31, 2018 @ 6:44 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CFN: CU's bowl hopes will come down to Utah and Cal games (Buffs losing both)
- Disagree. CU will need to win one of those games for six wins ... but will get there (59%, 134 Votes)
- Disagree. CU will have bowl bid in hand before the final two games (33%, 75 Votes)
- Agree. CU was 5-4 last fall and lost final three games - it can see a similar finish happening again (8%, 18 Votes)
Start Date: July 30, 2018 @ 6:32 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
