Buffs taking on the Ducks under the Friday Night Lights of Autzen on October 11th. How would you rate CU's chances?
- Medium. The Ducks have their rivalry game against Washington the week after the CU game, so this is a look-ahead trap game for Oregon, and the Buffs are under-rated (48%, 109 Votes)
- Low. If we're being honest, this is one of the games - at least for the 2019 season - that has to be marked down as an "L". On the road against a potential top ten team? I'm not seeing it (42%, 94 Votes)
- High. The Buffs won the last time the two teams played, and that was the starting debut for Steven Montez. He'll enjoy going back to Eugene as a fifth-year senior (10%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: June 21, 2019 @ 6:42 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which quote of the day do you like best?
- Mel Tucker: "This is a better football team, a better coached football team, better prepared football team than what we’ve seen in the past" (58%, 142 Votes)
- Laviska Shenault: "It's strictly business. I feel like we’re going to take it and run with it, and we’re going to do big things" (32%, 78 Votes)
- Transfer offensive lineman Arlington Hambright: "Wherever they need me is what matters. That's important — whatever it takes to win" (10%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: June 20, 2019 @ 5:55 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU's fourth commitment in two days come from JC defensive lineman Justin Jackson. Thoughts?
- Somewhat excited. Nice to get another defensive lineman, and I have faith that the Buff coaching staff will be able to mold Jackson into a starter (57%, 124 Votes)
- Very excited. The Buffs are in need of defensive linemen, and Jackson has a great upside (22%, 47 Votes)
- Not excited. An unrated player who only weighs 250 pounds? Sigh. To be honest, I thought/hoped that we were done with unrated prospects with an offer sheet made up of FCS schools (21%, 47 Votes)
Start Date: June 19, 2019 @ 6:14 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU's 9th and 10th commitments, CB Alton Julian and OL Gerad Lichtenhan, were unrated by Rivals at their commitment. Thoughts?
- Not a concern. As Lichtenhan noted: "What I was told by Colorado's coaches is they don't really care about stars, they like to do their own evaluations". Good enough for me. (57%, 172 Votes)
- To be determined. Let's see how Julian and Lichtenhan fare on the field this fall. If they get up to a three-star rating by Signing Day ... all is forgiven (38%, 114 Votes)
- A concern. I'm fine with finding "diamonds in the rough", but to take players who haven't even been rated is a red flag (5%, 18 Votes)
Start Date: June 18, 2019 @ 6:04 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU receives a commitment from three-star tight end recruit Caleb Fauria. Thoughts?
- Love it! The No. 13 tight end in the nation, and a legacy? A great pickup by Mel Tucker & Co.! (84%, 287 Votes)
- Nice to get the son of former Buff star Christian Fauria. Since Fauria is from Massachusetts, though, and had many offers across the nation, I'm withholding celebrating until he signs in December (9%, 31 Votes)
- Wait ... CU is recruiting high-level tight ends? I just hope that this means that the long drought of CU not using tight ends are finally come to an end (7%, 22 Votes)
Start Date: June 17, 2019 @ 6:25 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
