Report: Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff meeting with Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby. Thoughts?
- I like the tweet Kliavkoff posted today: "One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say to say." --Bryant McGill. The Pac-12 has a winner with Kliavkoff (62%, 155 Votes)
- Not a good idea. Kliavkoff and the Pac-12 should stay far away from the "Irate Eight". There is no upside to the remnants of the league, and an alliance will only hurt the reputation of the Pac-12 (24%, 61 Votes)
- Like it. Whether it is a merger or merely an alliance against what the SEC is up to, it's important that the Pac-12 and what's left of the Big 12 form alliances to remain relevant (14%, 35 Votes)

CBS Sports releases its preseason 1-130. CU in at No. 54, some 24 spots below the final 1-130 ranking for the 2020 season. Thoughts?
- Someone should remind CBS that their writers had CU at No. 109 to open last season, ahead of only Kansas and Rutgers among P-5 schools ... and the Buffs finished 30th. Bulletin board material! (40%, 99 Votes)
- About right, actually. Until or unless CU shows the college football world that it can produce quality quarterback play, there will be questions about CU's ability to win this fall (36%, 88 Votes)
- Yea, sure. Oregon (4-3 last fall) moves up 32 spots ... Arizona State (2-2) moves up 18 spots ... CU behind Nebraska (no winning seasons under Frost) ... Typical preseason lack of respect for CU ... (24%, 58 Votes)

If you were USC Athletic Director Mike Bohn, which option for you would be the most appealing for the Trojans?
- Stand pat, at least for now. Until the dust clears on how the Big 12 will move forward, there are too many moving parts to make a move right now (46%, 104 Votes)
- Work with some of the other west coast powers (UCLA, Oregon, Washington) to make a behind-the-scenes deal with the Big Ten. That's the only way the Trojans will be able to make SEC money (36%, 83 Votes)
- Go independent. It may sound strange, but if the Trojans were to play an independent schedule like Notre Dame, the television contract would be great (and wouldn't have to be shared) (18%, 41 Votes)

CU adds its second offensive lineman (and second OL from Mississippi) to the Recruiting Class of 2022, McKale Boley. Thoughts?
- Two offensive line recruits - both from Hattiesburg, Mississippi? Sometimes, you just have to laugh. Fingers crossed that the coaches know what their doing, taking a prospect that only had JC offers (51%, 114 Votes)
- Good to see the Hattiesburg connection continuing! Seriously, Mitch Rodrigue has earned the benefit of the doubt, so I'll trust him on this recruit. Boley is 6'6", 286-pounds - like that frame (26%, 59 Votes)
- Let's not pretend that this is anything but a disappointment. Not rated by 247 Sports - not even in the Rivals database? CU Recruiting is going in reverse gear, and that hurts (23%, 51 Votes)

How would you rate the CU offensive line heading into Fall Camp, 2021?
- To be determined. The pieces are in place, but it remains to be seen how the pieces fit. Will Wray and Fillip become dominant tackles? Will CU be able to avoid injuries to starters? (70%, 125 Votes)
- A definite strength. Four returning starters, with the addition of transfer Max Wray from Ohio State. I'm thinking this could be the best CU offensive line in 20 years (28%, 51 Votes)
- A relative weakness. Athlon has CU's offensive line rated 10th ... in the Pac-12. While national magazines tend to gloss over coverage of CU, the Buffs are guilty until proven innnocent (2%, 3 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
