My attitude as spring practices open for CU football ...
- Hesitant, but hopeful. We've been down this road the last few years. Right now, I'm just looking for a competitve team (49%, 111 Votes)
- Cautiously optimistic. Some decent athletes available, but there are still a lot of holes to fill (31%, 69 Votes)
- Totally psyched! New coaches, new energy. I can't wait for practices to start! (20%, 46 Votes)

The biggest event (in my opinion) for CU athletics this week ...
- CU men have a chance to sweep the Oregon schools and clinch an NCAA bid (54%, 123 Votes)
- The opening of spring practices. CU's still a football school! (29%, 66 Votes)
- CU ski team a favorite to win another (that would be 19, people!) national championship! (14%, 33 Votes)
- CU women looking to lock up NCAA home court for first two rounds (3%, 7 Votes)

The significance of the 62-46 loss to Cal ...
- Moderate. Keeps the Buffs from a first round bye, but a sweep of Oregon will make everyone forget this game (62%, 124 Votes)
- Great. Painful game to watch, as CU's deficiencies were exposed (25%, 49 Votes)
- Minimal. Won't hurt CU's chances to make the NCAA tournament, which is all that really matters (13%, 27 Votes)
Start Date: March 2, 2013 @ 6:40 pm

Odds CU will keep Tad Boyle as head coach after this season ...
- High. He has built this team, and has great players coming up. He can be mayor of Boulder in a few years (72%, 230 Votes)
- Medium. Unless CU finds a way to show Boyle the love ($$$), he may be tempted to look around (25%, 81 Votes)
- Low. Because CU is not a basketball power, a better job will be coming soon (3%, 10 Votes)
Start Date: March 1, 2013 @ 10:38 am
End Date: No Expiry
CU rated as the 50th-best coaching job in college football ...
- About right - at least for now. Hard to claim a higher spot until CU starts winning again (75%, 212 Votes)
- Too low. CU is one of the top 25 all-time programs, and the coaching job is part of that (20%, 56 Votes)
- Too high. Seven straight losing seasons and lukewarm administration support (5%, 16 Votes)
Start Date: February 28, 2013 @ 8:57 am

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
