What I am taking from the 38-24 loss to No. 16 Arizona State
  • That CU is a team on the rise, a team which will compete (and win) in the Pac-12 this season (48%, 154 Votes)
  • That there is such a thing as a moral victory, and this was one of those (34%, 111 Votes)
  • That CU is only consistent in starting slow and making too many mistakes to win, dooming the Buffs to another lost season (18%, 57 Votes)

New seating, South Park video, beer gardens, new uniforms ...
  • Great stuff! CU is finally catching up with the Pac-12 in facilities and amenities (41%, 106 Votes)
  • If inside beer and a video will get fans in the stands earlier, it's a (small) step in the right direction (39%, 100 Votes)
  • Yawn. Putting lipstick on a pig. Fans won't return until "W's" are again being posted (20%, 52 Votes)

The Pac-12 team most likely to be upset this weekend:

  • Arizona, at home, by Nevada (23%, 61 Votes)

Will Arizona State repeat as Pac-12 South champions in 2014?
  • No. USC has already defeated Stanford, and is on its way back to the top of the league (67%, 161 Votes)
  • No. UCLA, despite a sluggish start, is still the team to beat in the South (21%, 50 Votes)
  • Yes. ASU has a great offense, gets UCLA and Stanford at home, and avoids Oregon (12%, 30 Votes)

Start Date: September 10, 2014 @ 8:58 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Thoughts on CU's home opener against Arizona State
  • Excited. First home game, stadium renovations, "Blackout" - what's not to like? (39%, 126 Votes)
  • Not excited. CU v. ASU in Pac-12 - Three games, average score: 51-14 - expecting the same Saturday (31%, 102 Votes)
  • I'm just glad that it's a late start ... so the score of the game isn't on the ESPN ticker all day! (30%, 99 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
