After Spruce, my guess for CU's 2nd-leading receiver in '15:
  • Shay Fields ... Second in catches in 2014, he'll be second in 2015 (82%, 234 Votes)
  • Bryce Bobo ... He had three touchdowns in '14; that will at least double (11%, 31 Votes)
  • Lee Walker or Jay MacIntyre ... We'll see what the redshirt freshmen can do (4%, 11 Votes)
  • Donovan Lee ... The 5'8", 170-pound speedster will have a breakout season (3%, 8 Votes)

Your pre-spring practice guess on who will lead CU in rushing this fall
  • Michael Adkins. He would have led last year if he hadn't been injured (35%, 87 Votes)
  • One of the new Buffs ... Baltazar, Carr or Gordon ... will become the next star (31%, 76 Votes)
  • Phillip Lindsay. It's his turn to take the reins (18%, 44 Votes)
  • Christian Powell. He has led for three straight years; 2015 will make it four (16%, 40 Votes)

My bet for CU's starting quarterback this fall ...
  • Sefo Liufau. Simply put, Liufau gives CU the best chance at winning (88%, 218 Votes)
  • Steven Montez. Here's hoping that the future arrives this summer (6%, 15 Votes)
  • Cade Apsay. In case you missed it, CU failed to win a Pac-12 game last season (4%, 10 Votes)
  • Jordan Gehrke. Starting him against Oregon was not a fair test. (2%, 6 Votes)

Start Date: February 13, 2015 @ 9:18 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Buffs can't complete comeback, fall to Bears, 68-61 ...
  • Thank goodness spring practices start on Monday, so we can be distracted from this debacle of a basketball season (57%, 126 Votes)
  • Buffs can't win close games, so this game wasn't a surprise. Boyle has lost this team (28%, 63 Votes)
  • A disappointing loss, but it will take time to get injured players back to 100% (15%, 34 Votes)

Start Date: February 12, 2015 @ 10:09 pm
End Date: No Expiry

How will the Buffs fare against the Cal Bears Thursday night?
  • It won't be pretty, but CU needs this one more than Cal ... Buffs in a close one (61%, 138 Votes)
  • Cal has won four straight, and the Buffs are lost. Sorry, but I see the Bears winning this one (23%, 52 Votes)
  • All three of CU's top players will finally be playing ... Buffs will easily take down Bears (16%, 37 Votes)

Start Date: February 11, 2015 @ 9:14 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
