Report: Antonio Alfano no longer a part of the CU football program. Thoughts?
- Not news. You can't miss what you never had, and Alfano was never actually a part of the program (he had to apply for a waiver, and that was after being a good citizen and student this spring) (57%, 125 Votes)
- Tough news. It seems like anytime CU attracts a five-star prospect, it doesn't work out. Had fingers crossed on this one ... sigh (24%, 52 Votes)
- Just another "CU is not allowed to have nice things story". Seems like as soon as Mel Tucker left, the Alfano departure was preordained. Hope he does better with his third college (in three years) (19%, 44 Votes)

Which of the following Rick George quotes do you find to be the most intriguing?
- "I think people are hungry for live sports, and we will be creative on what we do inside of our stadium if we have a reduced number of fans or no fans" (39%, 62 Votes)
- "I get more optimistic daily as I see different sports coming back like the NHL and the NBA and Major League Baseball" (37%, 59 Votes)
- "(Cutting sports) is not a big worry for me right now because that’s not in my plan right now. I don’t think that makes sense for us to (cut sports) and I’m not interested in that at this point” (24%, 39 Votes)

Chris Fowler says that CU's Karl Dorrell "has to be given a bit of a pass" this year. Thoughts?
- Depends on what you mean by "a bit of a pass". If you mean another 5-7 season - probably. If you are talking about a 3-9 regression - no. (55%, 138 Votes)
- Agree. No spring practices ... new offense ... new defense ... coming off of three straight 5-7 seasons ... Yes, expectations should be tempered (35%, 89 Votes)
- Disagree. These coaches are being paid millions of dollars to produce winning teams, and last year's teams showed it was ready to become bowl-worthy (10%, 26 Votes)

Pac-12 votes to all voluntary workouts for all sports after June 15th. Thoughts?
- Actually, I think the bigger news story of the day was CU announcing there will be students on campus this fall. Without CU bringing students back, it wouldn't have mattered what the Pac-12 said (71%, 141 Votes)
- Great news! We are now one step closer to getting Buffs back in Boulder with their coaches, and one step closer to having a 2020 season (24%, 47 Votes)
- Not news - yet. Until CU jumps through the state and county hoops, the Buffs are still at risk of being left behind by other teams in the conference (5%, 11 Votes)

What to you sounds like the biggest highlight of the 2002 season?
- The Buffs defeating Nebraska in Lincoln, setting a number of (negative) records for the Cornhuskers, including NU's record run in the Associated Press poll (85%, 169 Votes)
- Jeremy Bloom's (then record) 94-yard touchdown reception against No. 13 Kansas State, together with Donald Strickland's fourth-and-goal stop (11%, 21 Votes)
- Running back Chris Brown going for 309 rushing yards against Kansas, only the third 300-yard rushing game in CU history (4%, 10 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
