Should the Pac-12 abandon divisions, so that the two highest-ranked teams will square off for the Pac-12 title?
- Yes. If the Pac-12 is to have any hope of getting into the College Football Playoffs with any regularity, you can't have an 8-4 division champ upsetting the conference's best team (38%, 65 Votes)
- Depends ... When the College Football Playoff expands (and it should in a few years), the Pac-12 winner will get in regardless of record. Taking away divisions solves a problem which will solve itself (38%, 64 Votes)
- No. The conference doesn't have to lower its standards to try and placate the power brokers. If the Pac-12 just wants USC and Oregon to play for the title every year, just say so and we can get on it (24%, 40 Votes)

What gives you the most optimism about left tackle Jake Wiley heading into the 2022 season?
- That Wiley - and the rest of the offensive line - has an actual offensive line coach in Kyle DeVan, and are moving past the Mitch Rodrigue era (69%, 111 Votes)
- That, despite being a member of the Recruiting Class of 2019, Wiley is only a sophomore in terms of eligibility, and has a chance to be a four-year starter at left tackle (24%, 38 Votes)
- That, despite the issues of the 2021 season, that Wiley gained invaluable experience for the 2022 season and beyond (7%, 12 Votes)

Should Colorado boosters form a "CU Collective" to pay players, transfers and recruits?
- CU is so far behind the curve it really doesn't matter. The top 24-36 teams should break away, form a semi-pro league, and let the remaining schools get on with playing football for championships (46%, 83 Votes)
- Yes. I'm amazed, shocked, dismayed and disappointed this hasn't already happened. If CU is going to compete for players (and keep the ones it has), a collective is a necessary means to that end (43%, 77 Votes)
- No. Collectives are unregulated, and few (if any) schools are playing by the rules which are already on the books concerning inducements. CU should stay above the fray (11%, 21 Votes)

From BuffStampede.com message board: Which way do you see the CU program currently trending?
- Gradual upward trajectory: It's going to take another year or two, but Karl Dorrell has the program heading in the right direction. I'm cautiously optimistic about my Buffs (36%, 80 Votes)
- About the same as last year: The team is better, but the schedule is more difficult. Sad to say it, but CU has another 4-8 season in its immediate future (25%, 55 Votes)
- Steep downward trajectory: Top RB gone; top WR gone; 3/4 of secondary gone ... and that was from a 4-8 team. This season is a disaster in the making (16%, 35 Votes)
- Gradual downward trajectory: With CU losing talent faster than it can be developed, the slow decline into the abyss is inevitable (16%, 35 Votes)
- Steep upward trajectory: Quality coaches are finally in place, and there is buy-in by the players. I'm not saying CU will shock the college football world this year, but they may come close (7%, 16 Votes)

SEC and Pac-12 commissioners meet with U.S. Senators to try and find a path to NIL legislation. Thoughts?
- Kliavkoff: “Either the NCAA is going to get its act together in enforcing this, or I’m going to be pushing for a smaller group to figure out how to create and enforce the NIL rules". Go George! (54%, 74 Votes)
- I'm glad to see that the situation has gotten so bad so fast that commissioners are getting involved. Fingers crossed that there will be some positive results from these meetings (26%, 36 Votes)
- CU athletic director Rick George was part of a committee which spent two years trying to get headway on national legislation on NIL, with no success. Meetings generate sound bites, but no results (20%, 26 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
