The Athletic: "Winning some games would represent huge progress. Making a bowl would be a tremendous achievement. Anything beyond that is gravy"
- It's still way too early to tell. Let's see how the roster plays out, and how spring ball plays out, before talking about a prediction for CU's record this fall (49%, 149 Votes)
- Sounds about right. Buff fans need to be realistic about turning around the Titanic which is the CU program. With the schedule CU has to play, 4-5 wins would be a significant achievement in '23 (31%, 95 Votes)
- Outsiders don't seem to understand that Coach Prime & Co. are coming in to win, and win now. A bowl game this season is CU's floor, not its ceiling. Buffs are coming! (20%, 62 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from graduate transfer running back Kavosiey Smoke from Kentucky. Thoughts?
- Love it ... CU has some good but not great backs on the roster, plus a four-star incoming freshman. An experienced big back from the SEC is a very welcome addition (46%, 154 Votes)
- A running back named Smoke? Sounds like a Coach Prime player. Smoke is a graduate transfer trying to make it to the league, so he'll be well motivated to have an immediate impact (28%, 94 Votes)
- It's fine, but Coach Prime & Co. are still not getting the edge rushers and the lineman on both sides of the ball which are CU's most important needs (26%, 84 Votes)

How do you think the 65-7 rout of TCU by Georgia will affect the CU/TCU game next September?
- We'll see. If the rumors are true, and CU gets to move the ASU road game to a neutral site Week Zero game, our attention will shift to a winnable game against the Sun Devils (76%, 207 Votes)
- A positive. The Cinderella story which was TCU's run to the title game has been shattered. The Horned Frogs won't be the media darlings next fall, and the team and fans won't be as smug (14%, 39 Votes)
- A negative. The huge loss on the game's biggest stage will only serve to inspire the TCU players to play with a chip on their shoulder. They will want to take out their aggressions on our Buffs (10%, 25 Votes)

Considering that any new addition to the roster will mean the loss of a current roster player, which unit to you still needs an upgrade?
- Outside linebacker/Edge rusher. Until or unless CU can get a pass rusher that other defenses are afraid of, this defense will struggle against quality competition (54%, 193 Votes)
- Defensive line. Four new upperclassmen transfers to go with two returning starters is a good start, but more experience and depth are a necessity (20%, 72 Votes)
- Quarterback. The Buffs are one injury away from being in real trouble. It'll be hard, but an experienced backup would be most welcome (13%, 47 Votes)
- Offensive line. Sure, CU has added six transfer lineman (including four-star prospect Yousef Mugharbil from Florida this weekend), but this unit needs serious upgrades (13%, 47 Votes)
Start Date: January 9, 2023 @ 5:35 pm

With the addition of two four-star transfers (OL Yousef Mugharbil and S Myles Slusher), CU now has the No. 1 Transfer Portal Class in the nation. Thoughts?
- Coach Prime has now officially changed over half of CU's 85-man roster. Just think where we were just over a month ago ... it's an incredible transformation. Thank you Coach Prime & Co.! (58%, 216 Votes)
- I never thought I would live to see CU being ranked No. 1 in any recruiting category (except for perhaps, five-star disappointments). A great day for the Buff Nation! Enjoy! (34%, 125 Votes)
- Well, CU has 20 transfer commits, while every other team which is Top Ten in the rankings other than ASU has fewer than ten. A nice rankings, but it's still mostly based on quantity, not quality (8%, 30 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
