Athlon ranks CU as the No. 71 team in the nation
- And tied for 5th in the Pac-12 South. That's about as gracious a ranking as CU will receive this summer (45%, 76 Votes)
- And I don't care. I haven't cared about preseason rankings for over ten years now ... (34%, 58 Votes)
- And below Bowling Green and Louisiana-Lafayette. Sorry, this is still too low (21%, 36 Votes)
Start Date: June 1, 2014 @ 9:29 am
End Date: No Expiry
ESPN: Key stretch for CU comes in November (UW; at UA; Utah)
- After eight straight losing seasons - every stretch is critical (41%, 88 Votes)
- Disagree - The most important stretch comes in September. Without a fast start, there is no hope for a bowl (38%, 81 Votes)
- Agree - CU will need to finish strong in order to qualify for a bowl (21%, 44 Votes)
Start Date: May 30, 2014 @ 3:13 pm
End Date: No Expiry
CU/CSU (7:00 p.m.); CU/ASU (8:00 p.m.) kickoff times set
- Great! Two nationally televised games, and night games in September are no problem (58%, 125 Votes)
- It is what it is ... Until CU is a national brand again, there won't be many 1:30 p.m. games (31%, 67 Votes)
- CSU game had to be at night, but not happy about the late start to the ASU game (11%, 22 Votes)
Start Date: May 29, 2014 @ 1:59 pm
End Date: No Expiry
ESPN has only CU, Utah and Cal missing bowl games in 2014
- Sounds about right. These are the same three who missed bowls last year (41%, 90 Votes)
- They don't know the Buffs like we know the Buffs. CU will play in a bowl in 2014! (35%, 77 Votes)
- Not likely. One on the list (Washington State/Arizona) will not qualify / Utah might get to six wins (24%, 51 Votes)
Start Date: May 28, 2014 @ 11:24 am
End Date: No Expiry
CU signs Buff legacy Isaiah Holland
- Great news! Good player; good lineage; and a pipeline to Valor Christian. What's not to like? (73%, 180 Votes)
- Glad we got a legacy, not to mention a player with other Pac-12 offers, but I'm still holding out for some three- to four-star recruits before I get excited (22%, 54 Votes)
- My only concern - CU already has 85 scholarship players ... who will we lose from the current roster? (5%, 11 Votes)
Start Date: May 27, 2014 @ 1:03 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
