If I had a vote, the fourth team in the playoff would be:
- No. 5 Ohio State - The Buckeyes lost an early game with a new QB, and destroyed Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game (58%, 103 Votes)
- No. 3 TCU - The Horned Frogs were No. 3, and won their game, 55-3. How could they drop? (33%, 58 Votes)
- No. 6 Baylor - If the regular season means anything, you can't discount the Bears win over TCU (9%, 17 Votes)

My 2014 grade for Mike MacIntyre

- B ... Progress was made, wins are on their way (37%, 120 Votes)
- D ... Getting closer, but until W's are posted, I'll be concerned (10%, 33 Votes)
- A ... Buffs made huge strides in 2014 (3%, 9 Votes)
- F ... First O-fer in conference play since 1915. 'Nuff said. (1%, 6 Votes)

Nebraska hires Oregon State's Mike Riley
- Bad for both. Riley won't fit in at NU; OSU left high and dry (43%, 102 Votes)
- Good for Nebraska; bad for OSU. Riley knew how to make due with less at OSU (24%, 57 Votes)
- Good for OSU; bad for Nebraska. Riley too nice a guy to put up with Husker delusions of grandeur (17%, 41 Votes)
- Good for both schools. Riley is an excellent coach; OSU in need of fresh blood (16%, 35 Votes)

My interest in the McElwain to Florida saga ...
- Moderate. Will CSU get its $7.5M buyout? Will there be a compromise? What happens if McElwain stays? (42%, 96 Votes)
- High. Whatever the decision, the courtship will affect the Rams ... which means I'm interested in the outcome (37%, 86 Votes)
- Low. I refuse to participate in any discussion involving the Lambs. (21%, 49 Votes)

If Arizona defeats Oregon on Friday, do the Wildcats deserve a playoff spot?
- No - Arizona lost to USC and UCLA ... And I hate Rich Rodriguez and/or the Wildcats (44%, 98 Votes)
- Yes - The Wildcats will have defeated the Ducks twice; Pac-12 champ should always be in the playoffs (38%, 83 Votes)
- I don't care ... If the Buffs aren't involved, it's off my radar (18%, 40 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
