If CU is to overtake another team in the Pac12 South this year, it will be ...
- Utah ... If (when) Travis Wilson goes down again, so will the Utes (67%, 203 Votes)
- Arizona ... Despite winning the division last year (20%, 60 Votes)
- Arizona State ... Sun Devils most vulnerable of South division teams (8%, 24 Votes)
- USC or UCLA ... Just because I dislike these schools the most (5%, 17 Votes)

Two weeks to the start of the season, my thoughts on the Hawai'i game:
- Buffs come out confident and control the game throughout. A big win! (45%, 143 Votes)
- Hawai'i (two new coordinators) confuses CU early, but Buffs prevail in the end (43%, 134 Votes)
- Hate to be contrarian, but CU struggles on the road and in openers. I won't be shocked if the Warriors win (12%, 38 Votes)

My first choice for CU's backup quarterback
- Jordan Gehrke - He has started, and has playing experience (47%, 152 Votes)
- Cade Apsay - The red-shirt freshman has had a full year in the program, and a great upside (39%, 126 Votes)
- Steven Montez - A true freshman, but it sounds like he has the makings of the next great CU quarterback (14%, 47 Votes)

At the midway point of Fall Camp, my impressions ...
- Very excited. Reports have been positive; coaches and players sound like they are focused on posting "W's" (47%, 155 Votes)
- Feeling about the same. Everyone is undefeated in August, so the hype needs to be taken with a grain of salt (32%, 105 Votes)
- I'm just glad that there have not been any serious injuries since Camp opened (21%, 70 Votes)

Which position gives you the greatest concern heading into the season?
- Kicker - Two missed PAT's in the scrimmage makes me even more nervous (47%, 152 Votes)
- Defensive tackle - Losing both Tupou and Henington creates a huge deficiency in the line (42%, 136 Votes)
- Guards - CU replacing both - the offense won't go without solid offensive line play (11%, 36 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
