CU defeats Washington State, 80-56
  • Props to the Buffs for taking care of business. Hope Josh Scott comes to play against Arizona, though (36%, 104 Votes)
  • A great win! One strong performance down, three to go to the Pac-12 championship! (33%, 97 Votes)
  • All I know is that I am no longer worried about Selection Sunday. Well done, Buffs! (31%, 90 Votes)

Start Date: March 9, 2016 @ 6:26 pm

Is it easier or harder to beat a team three times in the same season?
  • Harder. Washington State hung tough in both regular season games. The Cougars have nothing to lose and will play with confidence (65%, 166 Votes)
  • Easier. The Buffs know they can handle the Cougars ... they even did it without Scott in the lineup (35%, 88 Votes)

Start Date: March 8, 2016 @ 10:11 am

How important is the Washington State game to CU's tournament chances?
  • Very. A loss to the No. 12 seed could give the committee justification for excluding the Buffs (49%, 145 Votes)
  • Somewhat. It probably won't keep the Buffs out of the tournament, but it will make for a nervous four days (44%, 131 Votes)
  • Not at all. The Buffs punched their ticket with their win over Arizona (7%, 19 Votes)

Start Date: March 7, 2016 @ 8:35 am

Buffs can't hold a double-digit lead in falling to Utah, 57-55
  • The good news is that the Buffs have shown they can play with highly ranked team on the road. From here on, it's neutral courts (36%, 81 Votes)
  • I'd like to take positives from this loss, but I'm afraid the Buffs will not be able to get over these past few losses (33%, 75 Votes)
  • Tad Boyle has got the personnel in place ... but can't coach close games (31%, 68 Votes)

Start Date: March 6, 2016 @ 1:20 am
End Date: No Expiry

How would you rate the importance of the Utah game?
  • Somewhat important. It would help NCAA seeding, and prove CU can beat highly-seeded NCAA tournament teams (57%, 141 Votes)
  • Very important. Buffs need to get revenge - and get a first round bye if possible (30%, 75 Votes)
  • Not important. A win would be nice, but staying healthy for Pac-12 and NCAA tournaments is more important (13%, 31 Votes)

Start Date: March 4, 2016 @ 4:55 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
