CU loses sophomore safety Jaisen Sanchez for the season
  • Tough, but the loss can be overcome. Sanchez was likely only a backup this season (56%, 133 Votes)
  • If there are no other season-ending injuries in the next two weeks, it will have been a good spring (36%, 87 Votes)
  • Devastating. With Evan White gone and Sanchez out, CU is down to three scholarship safeties (8%, 19 Votes)

Thoughts on the hiring of JR Payne as CU's women's basketball coach
  • I don't have enough information/interest ... I'll just hope for the best (64%, 139 Votes)

  • Not impressed. No Division 1-A experience ... seems like a reach to me (10%, 23 Votes)

My interest in the NCAA tournament ...
  • Medium ... Some good games, as always. My bracket blown up the first weekend ... as always (40%, 83 Votes)
  • Low ... At least since the Buffs bowed out the first afternoon of the first day of the first round (38%, 77 Votes)
  • High ... as always. March Madness is one of the best times of the year for sports fans (22%, 45 Votes)

Start Date: March 27, 2016 @ 5:21 pm

Rate the status of CU's incumbent kickers
  • Fair. If Buff fans are excited about a preferred walk-on joining the team, CU has issues (49%, 87 Votes)
  • Good. Gonzalez and Kinney had their moments, but improvement must be seen this fall (47%, 84 Votes)
  • Excellent. With a year of experience, Gonzalez and Kinney will have a great 2016 season (4%, 7 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
