CU's Monday practice cancelled "due to mounting injuries". Level of concern:
  • Medium. Seems like an unusual step ... I'd like some form of explanation or more details (49%, 118 Votes)
  • Low. If it will help keep the players fresh for the Spring Game, I'm in favor! (29%, 71 Votes)
  • High. We've only been told of one season-ending injury, but with closed practices ... Perhaps there have been more? (22%, 54 Votes)

  • And it may go higher ... A large Class, and great recruiters (Leavitt/Chiaverini) are now in place! (34%, 84 Votes)
  • But it's early. CU is off to a good start, but will likely be lapped by the rest of the Pac-12 (again) (9%, 21 Votes)

The need to get early verbal commitments for the Class of 2017

  • Moderate. It would be nice to see the Buffs making inroads, but commitments in April may not hold until next February (38%, 74 Votes)
  • Low. I'd rather see the Buffs put up some wins this fall ... then bring in the high-profile prospects (13%, 25 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
