Which of the following quotes from CU five-star freshman offensive lineman Jordan Seaton do you like the best?
- "I’m looking at it, like, ‘I can do everything at these big schools right here in Colorado’ So it’s like, ‘Why not? Why not just bet on myself?”’ (49%, 104 Votes)
- "It was my mother’s birthday and there were only two schools that said happy birthday to my mother, and CU was one of them. Just little things like that. My clarity was, ‘Who really cares about me?" (34%, 71 Votes)
- "The Big 12 has got a lot of great pass rushers. I love pass (protection). So kind of just looking at it from that aspect, it was like, ‘You know what? I can do this. I feel like I can be here.’” (17%, 36 Votes)

Rate your level of interest/concern about the naming of CU's next defensive coordinator
- High. This is one of the most important decisions Coach Prime will make this off-season, and it has to be a good one. CU is getting better players - these players will need quality development (56%, 152 Votes)
- Low. In Coach Prime we trust. I'm pretty confident that the new coordinator has already been chosen, and CU is just waiting for the right time to announce. Patience, Buff fans ... (24%, 64 Votes)
- Medium. No one knows better than Coach Prime that he needs to have good coaches in the right positions, and he'll have good options for a new DC. I'm just looking for a DC with collegiate experience (20%, 56 Votes)

With transfers and opt outs - and with the playoffs expanding to 12 teams - have minor bowls lost their value?
- Yes. And it's not just the minor bowls. With injuries, transfers and opt outs, the Orange Bowl between Georgia and Florida State, which should have been a showcase, was a joke (56%, 162 Votes)
- No. Even with the expansion of the playoffs, there are still 120 teams who won't be playing for a title, and getting a post-season trip is a nice reward for players (and their fans) (22%, 64 Votes)
- Well, since CU hasn't been part of the bowl discussion for a generation, it's hard to say. Get CU into the Guaranteed Rate Bowl or Pop Tarts bowl next fall, and we'll talk (22%, 61 Votes)

- No. 4 Alabama v. No. 2 Washington, with Alabama defeating Michigan in the Rose Bowl, and Washington defeating Texas in the Sugar Bowl (35%, 80 Votes)
- No. 4 Alabama v. No. 3 Texas, with Alabama defeating Michigan in the Rose Bowl and Texas defeating Washington in the Sugar Bowl (20%, 47 Votes)
- No. 1 Michigan v. No. 3 Texas, with Michigan defeating Alabama in the Rose Bowl and Texas defeating Washington in the Sugar Bowl (9%, 20 Votes)

CU defensive coordinator Charles Kelly leaving Colorado for a co-defensive coordinator position at Auburn. Thoughts?
- No one can form a real opinion about this news until CU names its next defensive coordinator - then we can discuss whether this is a net positive or a net negative (70%, 235 Votes)
- Not going to lose any sleep. While there were improvements over the 2022 disaster, CU was still 121st in scoring defense and 127th in total defense. This is addition by subtraction, folks (19%, 63 Votes)
- Not a good day. Kelly was an excellent recruiter, and there is something to be said for continuity on the coaching staff having an impact on the field. (Hopefully his recruits won't leave too) (11%, 37 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
