Jordan Webb named Pac-12 Offensive Player-of-the-Week
  • One good performance out of four does not prove anything. Let's see some consistency. (68%, 169 Votes)
  • QED - Coaches made the right choice for starting quarterback - it just took some time. (24%, 59 Votes)
  • A team victory. CU would still be better off with Wood or Hirschman at quarterback (8%, 19 Votes)

My thoughts on the Buffs after the win against Washington State
  • I'm just glad CU won't go winless for the first time since 1890. (45%, 169 Votes)
  • Let's be realistic. Every team from here on out is better than WSU. It's still going to be a long season (37%, 139 Votes)
  • Drinking a little Kool-Aid. These young Buffs know now how to win. The future looks bright. (18%, 66 Votes)

Be honest ... when the score was 31-14, Washington State ...
  • I was pretty much done, just hoping that the 4th quarter wouldn't make it a rout. (54%, 194 Votes)
  • It was rally time. NEVER give in!! (26%, 92 Votes)
  • I wasn't watching. I had given the Buffs zero chance of winning, and was off doing other things. (20%, 74 Votes)

Start Date: September 22, 2012 @ 6:50 pm

Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy will be on the sidelines Saturday ...
  • A good move. EB will keep the team fired up - or at least too afraid to hang their heads (44%, 135 Votes)
  • It will not make much of a difference. CU gave up 35 first quarter points, and this is the big coaching move? (34%, 106 Votes)
  • At least it will make for good television - EB's veins sticking out in HD! (22%, 69 Votes)

Start Date: September 20, 2012 @ 7:34 am
End Date: September 21, 2012 @ 2:20 pm

My plans for Saturday afternoon ...
  • I'll be watching the Buffs. What can I say? I'm a "loyal" Buff, and I'm in, thick or thin. (53%, 106 Votes)
  • I'll watch to start, but if it's another blowout, I'm off to another game/activity (24%, 49 Votes)
  • I'll check in, but the Buffs will not be a Saturday priority (15%, 30 Votes)
  • I'll look for the score Saturday night - better to get the pain over with quickly, like a quick tug on a band-aid (8%, 16 Votes)

Start Date: September 20, 2012 @ 7:27 am
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
