My thoughts on the last two games ...
  • CU might have a shot at one upset in the last two games, but not two (49%, 146 Votes)
  • Think positive! Buffs can beat both USC and Utah and qualify for a bowl game! (28%, 84 Votes)
  • Buffs realistically can't be expected to win either game, but that's okay. They have their conference win - they're playing with house money from here on! (23%, 68 Votes)

The best part of CU's victory over Cal ...
  • That CU won't have to go into 2014 with a record conference losing streak (54%, 156 Votes)
  • The defense played well when it needed to, keeping Cal at bay in the second half (31%, 88 Votes)
  • The offense played well, generating 485 yards of total offense (15%, 43 Votes)

CU BB doing well; XC looking for national titles; CU soccer qualifies for the NCAA's
  • Great news! It's good to see that CU athletics is competitive in many sports. It speaks well to the overall health of the athletic department (52%, 81 Votes)
  • To be honest ... I would trade all of the above for CU annually competing for Pac-12 titles and a Rose Bowl berth (48%, 75 Votes)

With the basketball teams doing well, and the football season winding down ...
  • I can multi-task! I still am all in for football ... and basketball, too! (69%, 133 Votes)
  • I'm still focused on football, and am not particularly interested in basketball in November (18%, 34 Votes)
  • I'm paying more attention to basketball. It's nice to focus on Buff teams who win games! (13%, 25 Votes)

Start Date: November 14, 2013 @ 10:18 pm

Colorado defeats Wyoming for the first time since 1996 ...
  • A win is a win is a win. It's nice (for a change) to be able to win - and complain about it! (41%, 89 Votes)
  • Really ugly. Playing like this, CU has zero chance against the likes of Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Arizona (30%, 65 Votes)
  • A good team win. Even with Dinwiddie and Booker struggling, the Buffs found a way to win (29%, 65 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
