What is the biggest obstacle facing CU in turning around its football program?
  • The lack of Pac-12 talent across the board (72%, 169 Votes)
  • Getting fans/donors behind the Buffs (14%, 33 Votes)
  • An institutional belief/acquiescence that CU cannot be competitive in the Pac-12 (10%, 23 Votes)
  • The lack of Pac-12 caliber coaching staff (4%, 10 Votes)

My reaction to the 2014 Rocky Mountain Showdown
  • Abandon all hope, all ye Buff fans who enter Folsom Field. CU won't be able to stop any Pac-12 offense (44%, 148 Votes)
  • I'm sticking with my Buffs - for now. But it's getting harder to believe that progress is being made (39%, 132 Votes)
  • Take the blue pill, people. Recall CU led for three quarters of the game (17%, 60 Votes)

RE: RMS ... If I were Rick George:
  • Let the contract (through 2020) run its course, then insist on home-and-home (or 2-for-1) (47%, 117 Votes)
  • Let the contract runs its course, then end the series (no upside for Buffs in playing the Rams) (21%, 53 Votes)
  • End the series NOW - even if there is a buyout (and backlash) (20%, 50 Votes)
  • Keep the RMS as it is. It's good for CU to play (and gain exposure) in Denver (12%, 28 Votes)

Coloradoan: "CSU, CU on a level playing field in terms of talent"
  • Disagree - Not true. Never has been true; never will be true (50%, 122 Votes)
  • Perhaps, but CU is still 7-3 vs. CSU over past ten seasons - So does this mean CSU fans believe Hawkins/Embree just out-coached their coaches? (36%, 89 Votes)
  • Agree - Have to admit it. Right now, CU's talent is more high end MWC than mid-level Pac-12 (14%, 33 Votes)

Time for talk is over. My prediction for the RMS ...
  • CU by 10 points or more. Buffs won by 14 last year - with worse personnel. (63%, 232 Votes)
  • CU by less than 10 points. I know the Buffs usually win by double digits, but this one will be close (31%, 115 Votes)
  • CSU by less than 10 points. It's still 8-4 vs. 4-8. Losing Bell and Henington will hurt (4%, 14 Votes)
  • CSU by 10 points or more. (I'm a CSU troll) (2%, 5 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
