Chiaverini: Buffs "farther ahead" than last year in recruiting
  • Not sure ... but I'm willing to give Chiaverini the benefit of the doubt (67%, 132 Votes)
  • Agree. Buffs have solid recruits, the QB of the future, and many offers to quality players (17%, 33 Votes)
  • Disagree. Oregon (4-8) picked up four four-star recruits last week. CU (10-4) has zero. Buffs are not taking advantage of winning season (16%, 31 Votes)

In the 2017 Pac-12 race, odds put CU in 8th place in the conference
  • Way too low. Just shows how little respect CU continues to have around the nation (43%, 93 Votes)
  • Not impressed (CU below two 4-8 teams from '16). Hope the Buffs will use such rankings as motivation (39%, 83 Votes)
  • About right. Buffs lost eight defensive starters and its DC. This rating is to be expected (18%, 38 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
