Mel Tucker, University of Colorado head football coach. Thoughts?
- Very excited. Tucker seems to check all of the boxes. I think Buff fans will have plenty of reason to be excited about this hire for years to come (47%, 217 Votes)
- No opinion, yet. Ask me again when CU actually makes the announcement that Tucker has been hired (42%, 193 Votes)
- If we're being honest, I'm disappointed. It's a buyer's market for teams this year, and CU failed to come through with a home run hire (11%, 55 Votes)

If CU names a coordinator who is coaching in a title game this weekend, I will be:
- Very pleased. There are some quality options out there, and the Buffs are about to get a very good coach (47%, 191 Votes)
- Withholding judgment. There are some good ones ... and some not so good ones. We'll see what happens ... (46%, 186 Votes)
- Disappointed. I was hoping for a coach with head coaching experience. It doesn't sound like its going to happen (7%, 28 Votes)
Start Date: November 30, 2018 @ 8:03 pm

Rate your level of concern as to the lack of an announcement from the CU athletic department
- Low. In Rick George we trust. I'd much rather get the right choice than a fast choice. Have faith, Buff nation! (55%, 227 Votes)
- Medium. CU is losing recruits, and is - again - off the national radar. Hoping for the best, expecting ... well, a mediocre choice (23%, 94 Votes)
- High. Other schools are moving quickly. The longer this drags out, the more concerned I get that Rick George's "Plan A" didn't work out. CU can't afford to screw this up! (22%, 91 Votes)
Start Date: November 29, 2018 @ 9:05 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Where will former CU defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt be coaching next fall?
- At Kansas State. It wouldn't be a surprise if Bill Snyder retires, and Leavitt had it in his Oregon contract that he wouldn't have to pay a buyout to go to KSU (38%, 166 Votes)
- I don't care ... as long as he is not in Boulder. I hope/trust/expect CU to do better in the coaching lottery (22%, 96 Votes)
- At Colorado. Leavitt has head coaching experience, is popular with players, and is familiar with the roster. It just makes sense (20%, 87 Votes)
- At Oregon. After all is said and done, and the music stops, Leavitt will remain in Eugene (18%, 78 Votes)
- At Texas Tech. If he can find someone to keep the offense going, he'd be a good fit in Lubbock (2%, 8 Votes)
Start Date: November 28, 2018 @ 6:58 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which of CU's current assistant coaches would you like to see retained by the new head coach?
- OC/WR coach Darrin Chiaverini. He bleeds black-and-gold, and is CU's best recruiter (35%, 153 Votes)
- DL coach Kwahn Drake. Newest member of the staff, but he brought energy to - and got results from - the defensive line (26%, 113 Votes)
- QB coach/interim head coach Kurt Roper. The quarterbacks love him. He could help provide for a smooth transition (18%, 79 Votes)
- RB coach Darian Hagan. Obvious ties to the school. He has coaxed three straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons out of backs playing behind inferior lines (16%, 71 Votes)
- CB coach Ashley Ambrose. Another CU legacy. He could help CU continue to produce NFL-caliber defensive backs (3%, 13 Votes)
- DC/OLB coach D.J. Eliot. The defense - unlike the offense - showed improvement in spots as the season went on (2%, 9 Votes)
Start Date: November 27, 2018 @ 6:58 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
