What will it take to get you to go to a CU women's basketball game this spring?
  • Sorry. While I am certainly glad the women's team is doing well this year, and will follow their progress during March Madness, I don't see myself going to a game (71%, 110 Votes)
  • Been there, done that, got the t-shirt! The women play some quality team basketball, and have a huge Whiteout game coming up against No. 3 Stanford on the 23rd. Be there! (14%, 22 Votes)
  • Well, the Buffs have moved up to a No. 4 seed in the bracketology, and the top four seeds in each region get to host NCAA tournament games. If the Buffs earn home NCAA games ... I'll be there! (15%, 22 Votes)

If social media and message boards are any indication, Bronco fans are none too pleased about Kansas City winning the Super Bowl. Which of the following bothers Bronco fans the most?
  • That Denver has lost 15 straight games to Kansas City, a streak which dates back eight seasons ... back to the Obama administration (77%, 186 Votes)
  • That the refs "gave" the game to the Chiefs with a late holding call (despite the fact that the Eagle defensive back said that he was, in fact, guilty of the infraction) (9%, 21 Votes)
  • That Kansas City has hosted five straight conference title games (an NFL record - no other team has hosted more than two straight) and won seven straight division titles (tied for 2nd all-time) (7%, 17 Votes)
  • That Patrick Mahomes, at age 27, already has as many Super Bowl MVP awards as John Elway and Peyton Manning ... combined (and Manning's MVP was won with Indianapolis) (7%, 17 Votes)

Tad Boyle's Buffs have fallen to 14-12, 6-9, but I'm not worried about the future of basketball at CU because ...
  • This remains a young team, and has a Top 20 recruiting Class coming in, highlighted by Cody Williams, the No. 12 overall recruit in the nation. Boyle's Buffs will be back ... (73%, 204 Votes)
  • The CU women's team was ranked No. 25 in the nation - before sweeping the Washington schools. A No. 5 seed in bracketology (to date), the women's team is carrying the CU banner this year (15%, 42 Votes)
  • That Coach Prime has reminded us all that CU is a football school. With CU on a great trajectory to return to national relevance, the men's basketball team can be mediocre (and no one will notice) (12%, 35 Votes)

If the Pac-12 can't get a good media rights deal, and the Big 12 comes calling, should CU consider the move?
  • Doesn't matter. I'm just happy to see that CU is in the conversation about expansion. If Coach Prime wasn't in Boulder, CU might be left out of the conversation entirely (49%, 122 Votes)
  • No. A Pac-12 without USC and UCLA presents a better path to the college football playoff, and that's what Coach Prime is all about. Stay with the Pac-12! (28%, 69 Votes)
  • Yes. If the Pac-12 is trading out USC and UCLA for San Diego State and SMU, it's time to go. A Big 12 without Texas and Oklahoma would be a nice fit (23%, 59 Votes)

Early pre-spring guess: Chances there will be attrition out of the running backs room after spring practices conclude
  • High. Coach Prime didn't bring in a graduate transfer and a four-star freshman to sit. There are four good - but not great - running backs returning from last season. I can't see all of them staying (59%, 144 Votes)
  • Medium. All of these players will have a chance to show their value this spring, and each brings something to the table. Coach Prime likes skill players - he may keep them all (36%, 87 Votes)
  • Low. As CU has learned to its detriment in the past, you can't have enough quality running backs on the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the current players make the team this season (5%, 12 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
