The affect of the Buffs' lack of depth on recruiting ...
- As Coach Embree said, it actually helps. Coaches can pitch - "You can play right away!" (43%, 88 Votes)
- It hurts. HS seniors were seven when CU won the Big 12. Players gravitate towards winners. (42%, 85 Votes)
- Makes no difference. Players (and families) look at coaches, the school, and the overall feel, not the W/L record. (15%, 30 Votes)

My Grade for the Buffs' September:
- C - I'm in for the long haul, but issues aplenty remain (68%, 180 Votes)
- D - One step forward, two steps back. October and November could get ugly. (25%, 67 Votes)
- B - By and large, I'm satisfied. Corners have been turned. (4%, 10 Votes)
- F - No improvement made; coaches in over their heads. (3%, 7 Votes)
- A - Marked improvement, on and off the field. (0%, 1 Votes)

Injuries have plagued the offensive line and defensive backfield ...
- No excuses. Buffs opened fall camp with 15 O-linemen and 20 defensive backs. Players need to step up. (72%, 146 Votes)
- The O-line injuries have hurt more. No protection; no running game. (24%, 48 Votes)
- Injuries to the DB's have hurt more. No interceptions; no depth on special teams. (4%, 8 Votes)

Colorado a three-point favorite over Washington State
- Sounds about right. Buffs get three points for homefield advantage, but that's about it (64%, 168 Votes)
- No chance the game is this close. Buffs bounce back with big win over Cougars (19%, 51 Votes)
- After the Ohio State meltdown, I don't see the Buffs winning this weekend (17%, 44 Votes)
Start Date: September 26, 2011 @ 10:07 am
End Date: No Expiry
My thoughts on the loss to Ohio State ...
- Patience, people. This is still better than what we had the past five years (42%, 94 Votes)
- A disappointment to be sure, but the Ohio State was never seen as a "W" on the schedule, anyway (30%, 68 Votes)
- The Buffs are not even back to square one, they're behind it. At least four weeks ago there was hope (28%, 61 Votes)
Start Date: September 25, 2011 @ 12:44 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
