Thoughts on men's basketball final home stand of the season
- Wins over both Cal and Stanford. Buffs get it done! (39%, 91 Votes)
- Sorry, but I'm already over basketball (thank goodness spring practices started early!) (34%, 79 Votes)
- A win over Stanford, but a loss to Cal, which is still in the hunt for a tournament berth (16%, 36 Votes)
- Losses to both ... it just seems like the Buff players have no motivation (11%, 25 Votes)

ESPN: "Can CU sustain its success?" - Your current CU record projection:
- Eight or nine wins ... A drop off, but not as dramatic as some predict (65%, 245 Votes)
- Six or seven wins ... A down year, but still a solid season (29%, 109 Votes)
- Ten wins or more ... Steven Montez & Co. will be dominant! (5%, 19 Votes)
- Fewer than six wins ... I'm a CSU/Nebraska/Oregon fan (1%, 3 Votes)

The CU unit which is of greatest concern to me this spring
- Defensive line ... Replacing all three starters - perhaps with JC's - is a risky proposition (35%, 105 Votes)
- Special Teams ... Not even close. Still no coach; still no competition for starters (32%, 96 Votes)
- Defensive backs ... Three starters off to the NFL, and CU plays in a passing league (29%, 86 Votes)
- Running backs ... Who does CU have as a backup if Lindsay gets hurt? (4%, 11 Votes)
Start Date: February 26, 2017 @ 5:43 pm

The position move which makes the most sense to me ...
- TE George Frazier to defensive line ... CU not using tight ends, anyway, and DL can use extra bodies (52%, 124 Votes)
- RB Donovan Lee to defensive back ... Won't play much behind Lindsay; utilize his speed as a DB (32%, 75 Votes)
- DL Brett Tonz to offensive line ... His skill sets make more sense as an offensive lineman (16%, 38 Votes)
Start Date: February 25, 2017 @ 4:46 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Thoughts on hiring Ross Els as insider linebackers coach
- Love it! To get a P-5 defensive coordinator and former head coach as a position coach? Looks like a great move (44%, 88 Votes)
- Like it. Has some decent credentials, but not sure about recruiting acumen (33%, 67 Votes)
- Not sure. Anyone who says, "There is not a better town, than Lincoln (Nebraska), to raise a family" has some readjusting to do in Boulder (23%, 46 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
