Jon Embree making half of what McElwain will make, and is the only coach under $1 million in the Pac-12 ...
- If CU gets to a bowl game next season, then we'll talk. (62%, 140 Votes)
- It's an embarrassment. CU should raise salaries to reflect new realities. (24%, 55 Votes)
- Remember, that's what happened with Hawkins! A contract is a contract. Who cares what anyone else says? (14%, 31 Votes)

Colorado State hires Jim McElwain as head coach ...
- A home run hire for the Rams. The Rocky Mountain Showdown just got a lot more interesting. (42%, 101 Votes)
- A no win situation for CSU. If successful, McElwain will go elsewhere. But if McElwain fails ... (32%, 77 Votes)
- Who cares? Let's see how the Rams pay McElwain twice what Embree makes with 1/10th CU's television revenue. (26%, 65 Votes)

The last two CU verbal commitments have come from two-star prospects ...
- Not concerned. Recruiting is an art, not a science. Rodney Stewart was a two-star recruit, as was Greg Henderson this past year. (65%, 153 Votes)

Of the high-profile recruits remaining, I would most like to see CU sign

With the remaining scholarships the Buffs' priority should be ...
- Defensive backs. Have you forgotten 2011 already? (38%, 101 Votes)
- Offensive line. Great teams stock up on 4-5 'Big Uglies" every year. (31%, 82 Votes)
- Linebackers. Exactly zero LB commits so far. (24%, 64 Votes)
- Running backs. Buffs have only two returning; two on board. (7%, 16 Votes)
Start Date: December 9, 2011 @ 5:43 pm

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
