CU beats L.A. schools to open Pac-12 play with a 2-0 record. My reaction:
  • "Taking Care of Business" - BTO ... A win over UCLA is great, but the Bruins are down this year, and USC? Not a good team. Utah on Wednesday is the real test (86%, 239 Votes)
  • "Celebration" - Kool and the Gang ... Buffs take down UCLA and USC - and without Josh Scott! Better times ahead! (14%, 39 Votes)

Your patience level in waiting for CU's next defensive coordinator
  • Medium. I understand the domino-effect which controls the process. It will take some time to trickle down to Colorado (38%, 123 Votes)
  • High. If CU gets the right guy, the waiting will be long forgotten come next fall (37%, 119 Votes)
  • Low. Like musical chairs, I'm afraid CU will be left empty-handed when the music stops (25%, 84 Votes)

What I'm taking away from CU's 62-56 win over UCLA
  • Glad for the win, but 18 turnovers and 16 offensive rebounds for the opponent won't cut it most nights (38%, 88 Votes)
  • All I know - Tad has victory No. 100, and CU has it's first win over UCLA since 1962! (37%, 86 Votes)
  • A great win! To take down the Pac-12 preseason No. 4 without Josh Scott - Buffs ARE getting better! (25%, 58 Votes)

How will CU's Pac-12 opener against UCLA Friday night turn out?
  • Tad said the Buffs WILL be better this week. I believe him - the Buffs pull out a win (62%, 128 Votes)
  • Both teams are struggling, but UCLA is the only Pac-12 Tad's Buffs haven't beaten. The streak - unfortunately - will continue (27%, 56 Votes)
  • I'm already over basketball. Spring practices begin February 13th! (11%, 22 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
