Which anonymous quote about CU by a Big 12 coach to you rings the most true?
- "They cannot have a winning season without a functional run game and a legit offensive line. That’s the one position group you can’t really portal in one cycle" (66%, 126 Votes)
- “The known quantity is at quarterback, and when you look at the kid [Shedeur Sanders] away from the hype and his dad, he can make legit throws and has innate talent and great instincts" (25%, 47 Votes)
- “Expect improvement at skill positions across the board — they’re aggressively portaling — but they need to put some studs opposite of [Travis] Hunter" (9%, 18 Votes)

What do you make of Camden Dempsey, "The Governor", giving CU fans the state of the team address?
- I'm constantly amazed at the promotion machine that is Colorado football under Coach Prime. Not sure I will get too much from the updates, but they'll probably be short and fun (52%, 61 Votes)
- I like it. It's an informative insight into the goings on with the team, and Dempsey doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm looking forward to future "addresses" (36%, 42 Votes)
- Not a fan. Just another way for players to get "clicks". I'm all for a long snapper getting his 15 minutes of fame, but I'm moving on from this form of entertainment (12%, 14 Votes)

Are you following stories on Coach Prime (accused of tampering a Division II player) and Shilo Sanders (bankruptcy after multi-million judgement entered)?
- Not really, but I do find it interesting/frustrating/maddening that national publications are all too happy to run with negative stories about Coach Prime and CU. (52%, 87 Votes)
- No. As noted, the Coach Prime story has little validity, and the bankruptcy story has little to do with anything which will take place on the field this fall (33%, 55 Votes)
- Yes. The negative press is hard to ignore. I don't think the Coach Prime story has legs (likely phishing), but the bankruptcy story is going to last into the fall (15%, 25 Votes)

CU game times announced: CU at CSU (Sept. 14th, 5:30 p.m., MT, CBS); Oklahoma State at CU (Nov. 29th, 10:00 a.m., MT, ABC). Thoughts?
- Love it! Four announced games, four nationally televised contests. I'm also glad that CU's non-conference games are night games - but not late night games (61%, 93 Votes)
- Like it. Nice that the Prime Effect is still going well, and glad CU doesn't have an 8:30 kickoff, but a 10:00 a.m., kickoff on Black Friday? Not a huge fan (23%, 35 Votes)
- Okay, I guess. Good that Buff fans will be able to travel to Ft. Collins and get out at a reasonable hour, but a morning game for Senior Day? Not super excited about a 10:00 a.m., Friday kickoff (16%, 24 Votes)

Ten-year NFL veteran Adalius Thomas joins CU's staff as a defensive analyst. Thoughts?
- Very good news. Let's see, CU desperately needs to get better defensive line play, and now has Hall-of-Famer Warren Sapp and All-Pro Adalius Thomas helping out? Nice addition (41%, 61 Votes)
- All I know is that the 2024 season opener is now less than three months away. I can't wait to see my Buffs play - and win. I hope Mr. Thomas is a positive addition, but this is not huge news (40%, 59 Votes)
- Won't say no to the extra help, but do too many cooks spoil the broth? This off-season keeps dragging on - I guess this is good news, but I don't know if another non-coach will help all that much (19%, 28 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
