August 31st Texas A&M says “adios” to the Big 12 After weeks of partial denials and convoluted press releases, Texas A&M has made it official. The Aggies are looking for a new conference. August 25th Texas A&M gives its notice … sort of In a news release today, Texas A&M University “officially notified the Big 12 Conference that it is exploring options related to the institution’s athletic conference affiliation. Texas A&M also requested that the Big 12 outline the process to be followed should the university elect to withdraw from the conference.” What does that mean? June 30th Brian Lockridge only returning Buff out There were 15 players who missed the Colorado 2011 spring game. As June turns into July, and fall practices approach, only one player, running back Brian Lockridge, remains a question mark for the 2011 season opener on September 3rd against Hawai’i. As you may recall, there were a number of Buff players who were recovering from off-season surgeries, and sat out spring practices. February 28th Sipili to enter a plea on April 15th Former Colorado linebacker Michael Sipili can be tried for sexual assault, according to a Boulder County Judge. Sipili, who was arrested in January on suspicion of sexual assault, will enter a plea on April 15th. The hearing on Monday was a preliminary hearing, and the state only needed to show that there was enough evidence to take the matter to trial.
