— November 8th – Boulder           Colorado 21,  No. 22 Missouri 16 — Joel Klatt passed for 187 yards and two touchdowns, leading Colorado to a 21-16 upset of 22nd-ranked Missouri.  Brian Calhoun rushed for 65 yards and a score, while D.J. Hackett caught five passes for 84 yards as the Buffs beat the Tigers for the fifth straight season. — October 18th – at Kansas State           Kansas State 49, Colorado 20 — Kansas State quarterback Eli Roberson threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more in leading the Wildcats to a 49-20 rout of Colorado. Roberson’s final touchdown, a one-yard run with 35 seconds remaining, capped a 34-7 second half domination of the Buffs. In allowing over 40 points in a fifth consecutive game, the Colorado defense collapsed after a decent showing in the first half. — November 29th – at  Nebraska           No. 13 Colorado 28, Nebraska 13 — Freshman tailback Brian Calhoun, inserted into the Colorado backfield due to injuries to Chris Brown and Bobby Purify, ran for 137 yards to lead the Buffs to a 28-13 win over Nebraska in Lincoln. — October 19th – Boulder           No. 23 Colorado 34, Baylor 0 — For a third straight game, Colorado opened the game against a Big 12 conference rival with a quick 14-0 lead. Unlike the Kansas State and Kansas games of the previous two weeks, however, this time the Buffs did not let up, cruising to a 34-0 win over Baylor. — National and Big 12 Recap – 1999 — With an undefeated campaign in 1999, the Florida State Seminoles claimed the title of “Team of the 90’s”.
