12:00 p.m. – The Colorado Recruiting Class of 2010 may be all in, as wide receiver/athlete Donnie Duncan has been confirmed as the 21st member of the Class. Earlier, the CU athletic department stated it would not announce the class until all the letters of intent were in, and now the signees have been posted at www.cubuffs.com. While there may be some players to come in later, it would be inconsistent with the statement issued this morning. As a result, the class may be final, with the Buffs signing only five defensive players (plus a kicker).

The breakdown (with the acknowledgement that a number of recruits played a number of positions in high school, and they may be moved around once they get to Boulder): one quarterback; four running backs, two wide receivers; four tight ends; four offensive linemen; two defensive linemen; two linebackers; one defensive back; and a kicker. Nineteen are coming from high school; two from junior colleges. Brief bios (to be supplemented in coming days) have been posted on each player elsewhere on the website.

Thanks for checking in with the Ticker today. If there is more news this afternoon, I’ll let you know!

7:50 a.m. – The cubuffs.com website has posted a notice that the Athletic Department will not be announcing the receipt of individual letters of intent, but rather will wait, and announce the class as a whole once all the letters have been processed. However, there are other avenues to determine whether a player has sent in their LOI, so we’ll try and post information about known commitments as soon as possible …

  1. Maybe there was some weird strategy to sharing the LOI’s like they thought they were in on some top secret 5-star player who might scare other commits away. But apparently it didn’t happen, so all was over by lunchtime.

Except Foi Foi. Is that guy going to make up his mind and become a buff?

  2. What is with the refusal to post the letters as they come in. Trying to hide something or is this typical? The cynic in me suspects that this is to give Hawkins a chance to spin as much as possible. His attitude with the media has really gotten adversarial since most of them called for him to be fired.
