A 6-2 month for the Buffs, opening with a big 82-79 home win over Arizona … A disappointing loss on the road to last place Cal gives Buff fans pause before the Buffs rally to finish out the month with three straight wins, including a 80-62 win over No. 19 USC and a 70-61 win over UCLA …

After opening Pac-12 play with a 1-2 record, the Buffs use a 79-72 win over No. 17 Oregon to launch a four-game winning streak … Then, just when it looked as if the Buffs were on their way to a Top 25 ranking, CU lost to winless Washington (going 1-18 from three-point range), then topped that frustration with by blowing a 19-point lead (with 8:45 to play), before falling at home to Utah …Tad Boyle on the Utah loss: “I’m not sure I’ve ever been more disappointed in a loss in my career” …

The Buffs were supposed to get a 20-game Pac-12 season underway in early December against Arizona and Washington State, but both games were postponed … Instead, the highlight of December was a hastily arranged road game against No. 12 Tennessee, which resulted in CU’s first loss of the season … A four-game winning streak against non-conference opponents gave way to a road loss to Arizona before the Buffs finished off December on a high note with a road win over USC …
