Kenny Fairley – DL

Committed April 24th … Fairley is a 6’1″, 280-pounds defensive lineman from Fairburn, Georgia … 247 Sports bioOn3Sports/Rivals bio

What others say about Fairley … Fairley is rated as a three-star prospect by both 247 Sports and On3Sports/Rivals. At 247 Sports, Fairley is listed as the No. 129 defensive lineman in the country, the No. 132 player overall out of the state of Georgia, and the No. 1199 player in the country. At On3Sports/Rivals, Fairley is considered to be the No. 91 defensive lineman in the nation, the No. 97 overall player out of Georgia, and the No. 1025 player overall nationally.

Last season, in helping Creekside High in Fairburn go 15-0 and win the Class 4A state championship, Fairley posted 68 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Fairley had other offers from … over two dozen schools, though most were from G6 schools. Fairley did have offers from Cincinnati and Purdue from the Power Four, along with offers from schools like Colorado State, Tulane, South Florida, and East Carolina.

In his own words … “Colorado has been recruiting me consistently, and their message has really been about development and competing at a high level every day,” Fairley told Rivals. “They’ve been real about the standard they expect and how they prepare guys for the next level.

“It would be big to play for Deion Sanders. He’s done it at the highest level, so you know he understands what it takes. I respect the mindset and confidence he brings to the program.

“I like the culture they’re building at Colorado and the energy around it. It feels competitive, focused and genuine.”

Andre Adams – QB

Committed April 14th … Adams is a 6’2″, 180-pound quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee … 247 Sports bioOn3Sports/Rivals bio

What others say about Adams … Adams is rated as a four-star prospect by both 247 Sports and On3Sports/Rivals. At 247 Sports, Adams is listed as the No. 15 quarterback in the nation, the No. 8 player overall out of the state of Tennessee, and the No. 173 prospect overall in the nation. At 247 Sports, Adams is rated as the No. 12 quarterback in the country, the No. 6 prospect out of Tennessee, and the No. 134 overall player in the nation.

Across 33 games in his prep career, Adams has thrown for over 7,500 yards and 71 touchdowns while also rushing for more than 2,300 yards and another 35 scores. He already holds a bulk of the Antoich school records and was a First Team All-State selection last fall.

From Andrew Ivins at 247 Sports … Elastic dual-threat quarterback with natural playmaking ability that looks destined to play in an RPO-heavy attack with his athleticism. Constantly extends plays with his legs as he dances away from pressure and buys himself time. Dangerous in the red zone as he can beat defenders to the pylon with his speed.
Far from a complete product, but flashes have been extremely encouraging as he gets ready to embark on his senior campaign. Projects as a potential starter at the Power Four level with plenty of redeeming qualities

Adams had other offers from … at least two dozen Power Four conference schools, including Oregon, Auburn, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. Adams final four were Colorado, Florida State, Kentucky and Virginia Tech.

In his own words … “I want to be somewhere honest,” Adams told Rivals in January. “Somewhere I feel like I belong. I’m a big relationships guy. How coaches talk to me, how honest they are, and how they treat me really matters. I want to be around people who are going to develop me as a man and as a quarterback.

…My main goal is to play in the NFL. I want to be in a place that’s going to help me get there.”

Davon Dericho – DB

Committed February 12, 2026 … Dericho is a 5’9″, 165-pound defensive back from Miami, Florida … 247 Sports bioOn3Sports/Rivals bio

What others say about Dericho … Dericho is rated as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports, but, as of the date of his commitment, was not rated by On3Sports/Rivals. At 247 Sports, Dericho is listed as the No. 55 cornerback in the nation, the 62 player overall out of the state of Florida, and the No. 593 prospect overall in the nation.

From Adrew Ivins 247 Sports … Feisty defensive back that blends slick man-coverage skills with impressive contact courage. On the smaller side, but tested very well at The Opening Miami in advance of senior year and flashed during an extended 1-on-1 session.  Got looks around the secondary as a junior and should offer similar versatility in college, but ceiling might be highest in the nickel. Projects as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level.

Dericho had other offers from … over a dozen FBS schools, including Power Four schools like Florida State, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Pitt, and UCF.

In his own words … “It’s Deion Sanders. He’s the best to do it,” Dericho told 247 Sports. “Out of all of my offers, he was the person who pushed me the most. He texts me every day. He calls me every day. He cares about me. I’m with that. He checks up on me. I really, really mess with that.”

  1. A headline in the Buffzone reminded me about Cam Newton so I looked as his stats and highlights both which were impressive. I guess his size and level of competition left him out of any scout service rankings. If fall practice is as closely guarded as spring’s I will have to wait for the games to see if he makes it up the depth chart. Same height and 10 lbs heavier than Edwards.

  2. Love the early 2027 QB commit……but, here is the way I see it. Next fall before signing day, some Big10/SEC team either doesn’t have a legit QB commit, or loses a QB commit, they come looking at Colorado’s QB and knowing CU doesn’t have the same resources they start bidding up NIL money until it becomes too much to resist and our QB vanishes. Am I being too pessimistic?

    1. Way too pessimistic! It’s more likely they’d poach this year’s starter than next year’s freshman recruit. But that won’t happen either. Ya gotta believe!

    2. If the Buffs dont win at the very least 7 games, and get a little more money in hand thats exactly what will happen. One roblem with that is Lewis might have a great year and be gone too.
      Hows zat for pessimism…..or reality?

  3. Great! So how about doing the same thing but with offensive and defensive linemen? Heck, they got the top tackle in the nation with Seaton and then stopped. Why?

  4. Wait, what?! Deion is still recruiting good players? How is that possible?!

Yeah. I know. 2027 is a llloooong way away. But the fact that talented kids are looking at CU, especially two years out, remains massive progress.

    Go Buffs
