— Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Jacksonville … In Jacksonville’s 26–21 win over San Francisco on Sunday, Hunter played mostly offense, hauling in three catches for 42 yards. Defensively, Hunter saw the field for a total of nine snaps. When asked about keeping Travis solely on offense after just nine snaps, Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said it was a decision based on “a few things that we will keep in-house for now.”
Through four games, Hunter has already been on the field for over half of Jacksonville’s offensive snaps (152 of 262) while also seeing time on defense, checking in on 38% of those plays.

— Chidobe Awuzie, DB, Baltimore Ravens … Awuzie logged four tackles against Kansas City, but was defeated on a touchdown pass. With the Ravens’ secondary decimated by injuries, Awuzie will be seeing plenty of playing time in the coming weeks.

— Ahkello Witherspoon, DB, Los Angeles Rams … Witherspoon sustained a broken clavicle two weeks ago against the Titans. He has been placed on IR and there is no timetable for his return.

— Isaiah Oliver, DB, New York Jets … Oliver has been seeing limited action, but is getting more playing time as the season has gone on.

— Shedeur Sanders, QB, Cleveland Browns … With the Browns struggling, starting quarterback Joe Flacco has been benched. This weekend, when Cleveland takes on the Minnesota Vikings, the Browns’ starting quarterback will be … Dillon Gabriel. Flacco will be considered the backup, with Shedeur remaining third string.
When asked earlier Wednesday why Sanders was not bumped to the No. 2 quarterback spot, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski responded only that Flacco was the backup. Stefanski later said his “focus is on this game” and reiterated that Flacco is the backup when asked if there was any discussion of elevating Sanders’ role.
Sanders, the 144th pick in April’s draft, told ESPN Cleveland last week that he was “ready to play right now.”
