— August 30th – at Denver          Colorado 42, No. 23 Colorado State 35 — Sophomore quarterback Joel Klatt was the unlikely hero in leading Colorado to a 42-35 win over its in-state rival, Colorado State, in the 2003 season-opener for both teams.
